This year Woking has organised and hosted the District 1140 Ball, raising money for The Rainbow Trust. Over £1000 was raised through ticket sales and a raffle, with oscars awarded for light hearted games and giant jenga in one corner, which is new territory where balls go.

Last year we helped with marshalling for the Rainbow Trust cycle day - this year things have got bigger and better, with a fair alongside the cycling. Lots of children had a great time and over £3000 was raised throughout the day. We also presented money raised at the ball and through other vents through this year.

Steve attended the Rotaract European Meeting in San Marino - over 300 Rotaractors visited from around the world with more than 500 at the last night's gala ball. The meeting on the Saturday went well concerning ERIC, the European Rotaract Information Centre, which aims to encourage overseas projects and collaboration, also sharing lessons learned with the broader community.
